Applications take about three minutes. No credit card, now or later.
I taught for 24 years and coached teachers through structured literacy for a good stretch of them. I built this because I watched capable teachers screen a class, get a stack of numbers back, and have no time left to work out what the numbers meant.
The product works. What I don’t have yet is twenty-five teachers who have run it in a real classroom, in September, with 27 children and a fire drill.
That’s what this is for. I would rather find the rough edges now, with a small group who knew what they signed up for, than find them next year with a thousand teachers who didn’t.
That’s the whole agreement. There is no minimum number of logins, no usage quota, and nothing to renew or cancel.
There are twenty-five places and I expect more applications than that, so here is what I am actually reading for. None of it is about experience level.
Classroom teachers, interventionists, reading specialists, coaches, special education and dual language teachers, and homeschool educators are all welcome to apply.
You should know exactly what you are agreeing to, so here is the unflattering half.
Something will be slower than it should be, or worded confusingly, or missing a button you expect. That is the entire reason this cohort exists. If you want software that has already been sanded down by ten thousand users, wait a year — I’ll still be here.
Advant Lectura and the Math Screener are being built and are not ready. If Spanish literacy screening is what you need this fall, this cohort will not give it to you.

I am not producing an efficacy report, and you should not present this to your administration as validated research. It is twenty-five teachers using a tool and telling me the truth about it.
On student data. Founding accounts are governed by the same privacy policy as every other account — no exceptions, no extra data collected because you are in the cohort. Read it at app.advanteducation.com/privacy before you apply, not after.
